We're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Deli Counter Associate / Food Prep to join our team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about healthy eating, customer service, and working in a collaborative environment. You'll help prepare and serve food, maintain a clean and welcoming café space, and support a positive customer experience. Edson Farms Natural Foods is a locally owned natural foods store dedicated to providing our community with high-quality, organic, and sustainable food choices. Our in-store café offers freshly made smoothies, juices, salads and sandwiches and a large grab n go menu with a focus on wholesome ingredients and friendly service. We have been serving Traverse City for more than 45 years!!

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve food and beverages following recipes and safety standards Operate equipment including espresso machines, ovens, and food prep tools Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of café and prep areas Assist with inventory, stocking, and product rotation Provide excellent customer service at the counter and in the dining area Follow health and safety guidelines and food handling procedures Collaborate with store and kitchen teams as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience in food service, café, or kitchen setting preferred Interest in natural foods, healthy living, and sustainability Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Friendly and team-oriented with good communication skills Ability to work on your feet, lift up to 30lbs, and multitask in a busy environment Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain) At Edson's you work hard for us so we work hard for you, providing things such as: 401k & 401k matching Health/Vision/& Dental Insurance 20 % Employee Discount Paid Time Off Paid Vacation after 1 year No late evenings, shifts are currently 9:30am-5:30pm
