Role:
The To Go/Expo position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant's takeout and food presentation services. This role is responsible for accurately assembling and organizing to-go orders, ensuring that each order is complete, correctly packaged, and ready for timely pickup or delivery. Additionally, the Expo aspect of the role involves coordinating between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure that food is presented attractively and delivered promptly to guests. The individual in this position acts as a key communication link, helping to maintain high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall guest experience by facilitating seamless order flow and maintaining attention to detail under fast-paced conditions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a to-go or expo role within a restaurant setting. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and package to-go orders accurately and efficiently, verifying order completeness and correctness. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food items. Inspect food presentation to ensure it meets the restaurant's quality and aesthetic standards before service. Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and delivery personnel to manage order flow and timing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the to-go and expo stations to comply with health and safety regulations.
