Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Roxboro Motorsports Park is seeking friendly, dependable, and hardworking individuals to join our team. The Hospitality Worker is responsible for providing fast, friendly, and professional food and beverage service to racers, race teams, spectators, and guests during RMP events. Team members will assist with taking orders, preparing and serving food, processing transactions, stocking products, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the concession stand operates safely and efficiently throughout each event. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused position that plays an important role in the overall race-day experience at Roxboro Motorsports Park.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take customer food and beverage orders accurately. Prepare and serve approved menu items according to RMP procedures. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system. Accurately process cash, credit/debit card, and other approved transactions. Maintain accountability for cash and transactions during assigned shifts. Prepare and package food orders quickly and accurately. Stock beverages, food products, condiments, paper products, and other supplies. Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to the Concession Stand Manager. Maintain clean and organized counters, food-preparation areas, equipment, and customer service areas. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Assist with receiving, organizing, and properly storing food and beverage deliveries. Follow proper procedures for food storage, preparation, holding temperatures, and sanitation. Empty trash and maintain cleanliness throughout the concession area. Assist other concession employees during high-volume periods. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Concession Stand Manager or RMP Management.FOOD SAFETY & SANITATION
Food safety is a critical responsibility of every hospitality employee.Employees are expected to:
Follow all applicable food safety and sanitation requirements. Follow proper handwashing and personal hygiene procedures. Use gloves and other protective equipment when required. Prevent cross-contamination during food preparation and service. Maintain appropriate food temperatures. Properly clean and sanitize food-contact surfaces and equipment. Keep food preparation, storage, and service areas clean and organized. Immediately report equipment problems, food-safety concerns, spills, or other issues to management. Follow all instructions related to facility health inspections and sanitation standards. Food-handler or food-safety training may be required depending on the employee's assigned responsibilities.CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS
The Concession Stand is one of the busiest guest-service areas at many RMP events. Employees must be able to provide excellent service while working efficiently during high-volume periods.Team members are expected to:
Maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude. Provide fast and accurate service. Treat racers, spectators, coworkers, vendors, and officials with respect. Maintain a professional appearance. Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers. Handle customer concerns professionally and involve management when necessary. Work together as a team to keep customer wait times as short as reasonably possible.QUALIFICATIONS
Dependable and punctual. Friendly and customer-service oriented. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable handling cash and electronic transactions. Ability to learn and operate RMP's POS system. Ability to follow food preparation and sanitation procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and management. Previous restaurant, concession, food service, cashier, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Food safety or ServSafe training is a plus. Motorsports knowledge is helpful but not required.PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and move food, beverages, boxes, coolers, and supplies as required. Ability to safely work around grills, fryers, warming equipment, refrigeration equipment, and other commercial food-service equipment when assigned. Ability to work in warm and fast-paced kitchen and concession environments. Ability to bend, reach, carry, and perform repetitive tasks. Must be comfortable working around large crowds and normal motorsports noise levels. Must be available to work race weekends, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, evenings, and occasional holidays.OPENING & CLOSING RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the assigned shift, employees may assist with: Preparing the concession stand before racer and spectator gates open. Stocking food, beverages, ice, condiments, and supplies. Preparing food-preparation and service stations. Checking equipment and reporting problems to management. Cleaning and sanitizing work areas. Restocking products for the next event. Properly storing remaining food and beverage inventory. Completing assigned closing and cleanup duties. Employees should be prepared to report before the start of customer service and may be required to remain after the event to complete closing procedures.SCHEDULING
This is primarily an event-based position. Work schedules will be determined by Roxboro Motorsports Park's racing and special-event calendar. Hours may vary depending on event schedules, attendance, weather, and operational needs.OUR STANDARD
