Deli/CStore Associate Reports to: Store manager

Position Overview:
The Harvey Deli/CStore Associate works closely with the other employees to ensure the overall success of the convenience store and deli operations This person is a key staff member who works with the team in providing an excellent experience for customers. As with all staff, this person is a hands-on co-worker and role model.Responsibilities and Duties:
- Communicate with the Manager and staff regularly regarding inventory and operations.
- Act as a positive team member and work with staff to ensure tasks are completed.
- Provide excellent customer service and help ensure it is part of the culture.
- In time, help train new and existing employees.
- Potentially be responsible to open and close the store and deli when scheduled.
- Work with the Manager and other staff to determine inventory needs and potentially place appropriate orders.
- Support the maintenance of a safe and clean work environment.
- Help ensure the store and deli meet state health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and potential to lead and motivate a staff successfully.
- Related experience and/or the ability to understand the technical aspects of the job.
- Patience to learn and eventually teach and train.
- Enjoy the challenge of multitasking.
- Safeserv certification is very helpful.
- Be the ideal team player, blending humility, responsibility, passion for the work, and emotional intelligence.
