Full Job Description Job Overview:

Bagel Cafe is seeking reliable and energetic Kitchen Prep & Sandwich Makers to join our fast-paced culinary team. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, assembling high-quality breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently. We're looking for team players who take pride in their work, value cleanliness, and love great food.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare fresh ingredients daily (slicing vegetables, meats, etc.) Assemble breakfast and lunch sandwiches accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food prep areas and equipment Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling guidelines Restock sandwich station and prep supplies as needed throughout the day Assist with baking, bagel prep, and light kitchen tasks during slower periods Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations Communicate clearly with front-of-house staff to fulfill orders promptly Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including dishwashing as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen prep, sandwich shop, or food service role preferred Ability to work quickly while maintaining high food quality and presentation Familiarity with safe food handling and sanitation practices Strong knife skills and comfort using kitchen equipment Able to follow recipes, portion sizes, and prep guidelines Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Dependable, punctual, and a team-oriented attitude Must be able to stand for extended periods
