In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food, managing customer orders with precision, operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities Prepare food items efficiently and according to safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process customer transactions accurately and swiftly. Manage food service customer orders from takeout to dine-in, providing friendly and attentive service. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities. Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing surfaces, organizing supplies, and adhering to sanitation protocols. Handle cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and balance cash drawers at shift end. Assist with food handling duties including bussing tables, stocking supplies, and operating kitchen equipment safely. Qualifications Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety management practices. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy periods. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail sales math. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; culinary or café experience is advantageous. Experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments is beneficial but not required.
