Description:
Meat Clerks ensure packaged meat and cut meat. They also frequently interact with customers in need of assistance.
Requirements:
Essential Functions Recommending, slicing, weighing, packing and pricing product Perform general stocking duties Rotate product and remove expired product Ensure shelves and displays are clean and neat Perform general cleaning duties Operate tools and equipment safely Greet and talk politely with customers Help and assist customers in finding merchandise and providing information Comply with supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude Function as a team member and get along with others Adhere to daily work schedule Work weekends, any shift, holidays and overtime as needed Work in a fast-paced environment Perform other duties as needed or assigned Knowledge, skills and abilities Food handling and preparation skills Good hygiene Demonstrate expertise with decorating tools (Cake Decorator) Basic Math skills Sales skills Industry knowledge Phone etiquette Customer service Positive attitude Friendly and approachable Self-motivated Multi-tasking Attention to detail Physical requirements Grasping, bending, twisting, squatting, Move, lift (minimum height of 4' on a regular basis), and carry a minimum of 60lbs (Produce, Deli, Dairy, Station) Move, lift (minimum height of 4' on a regular basis), and carry a minimum of 110lbs (Meat) Walk, stand, climb ladders, be on feet entire shift Push/pull a heavy loaded pallet with manual pallet jack Push/pull a loaded stock cart Demonstrate above average manual dexterity Operate heavy equipment; Forklifts, baler, etc. (will train) Ability to work entire shift in refrigerated environment (Meat) Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred Previous industry experience preferred N.M. Food Handlers Permit (will certify) Age requirement Minimum age 18 Additional Navajo speaking preferred
