Key responsibilities:

Customer service: Greet guests, take orders, and explain menu options in a friendly and helpful manner.

Food preparation:

Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, and other food items according to customer requests and company standards.

Food safety and sanitation:

Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, follow food safety and health codes, and complete cleaning schedules. Point of sale (POS): Operate the cash register, handle payments, and provide correct change.

Stock and inventory:

Monitor stock levels, check in deliveries, and assist with food storage and preparation.

Inventory and restocking:

Check the sandwich unit and other areas for supplies, and restock as needed.

Cleaning:

Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant, including equipment.

Teamwork:

Assist with training new team members, especially during closing shifts. Work with teammates to keep the restaurant clean and pleasant.

Other tasks:

Involve baking bread or cookies, and handling light paperwork.

Other:

Completion of online courses through "University of Subway Required skills and qualifications Strong customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills. Willingness to learn and follow food safety and sanitation procedures. Physical ability to stand for extended periods. High school diploma or GED is preferred, as is previous food service experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to understand and implement written and verbal instruction.

Physical :

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
