Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Deli Clerk, where your enthusiasm for food service and customer interaction will shine! Duties Prepare and assemble deli foods such as sandwiches, salads, and hot items following established recipes and safety standards Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product selections, answering questions, and offering recommendations for upselling products Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in compliance with food safety regulations Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all food items are properly labeled and rotated for freshness Assist with food handling tasks such as slicing meats and cheeses using proper techniques to ensure safety and quality Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is preferred Knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Culinary experience or restaurant background is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering quality food and outstanding service.
