Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Bakery and Deli Clerk, where you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient food service environment. You will handle food preparation, assist customers with their selections, operate POS systems, and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble bakery and deli items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Assist customers with product selection, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling when appropriate Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently Manage food service customer orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and proper handling of food products Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following sanitation guidelines and cleaning protocols Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, refrigerators, and other food preparation tools Handle cash register operations, process retail sales transactions, and process cash handling with accuracy Support food safety management practices by adhering to sanitation standards and proper food handling procedures Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and storage Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or retail food service is preferred; culinary or café experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales processing Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices required for safe food handling Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and inventory management Experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work well within a team while maintaining a positive attitude Join us in creating an inviting shopping experience where quality products meet exceptional service!
