Job Summary:

Seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Packer & Shipping Associate to join the team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, packaging, and preparing food products for shipment while adhering to FDA regulations and CGMP standards. The Packing & Shipping Associate ensures all orders contain the correct products and quantities, correctly label products, observes order notes, and packing all orders carefully and efficiently. Packers inspect all product prior to shipping, utilize ERP system, maintain strong communication with customer service, ensure FIFO (first in first out) is observed at all times, and that all inventory is maintained according to company standards. The individual for this position has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and understands the importance of completing all tasks in a timely manner. The Packing & Shipping Associate will interact with production daily and is responsible for fulfilling customer specific orders and requests.

Responsibilities:

Assemble and package products according to specifications and quality standards. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP guidelines during the packing process. Inspect finished products for quality assurance before shipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Fabricate packaging materials as needed to ensure product integrity. Utilize ERP system to enter batch/weight data. Print product and case labels.

Fulfill daily orders:

select, label, pack product. Load and organize delivery vehicles. Fulfill customer specific orders, differentiate between private label Follow all food safety protocols and participate in food safety training.

Quality control:

ensures all products packed adhere to label and product specs. Maintain FIFO practices.

Seasonality:

During holiday periods production will need to ramp up to meet peak demand (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas/Channukah, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day, Purim, Passover, Easter, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, etc.) will require that employee not take time off the 1-3 weeks unless absolutely necessary. Strong attendance is necessary. Understands and identifies different products and product variations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred. Familiarity with FDA regulations and CGMP practices is a plus. . Ability to assemble products accurately while maintaining attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities are essential. Must be able to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 pounds as required. Ability to efficiently work in a cold environment (35 F) Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
