Job Description

Summary:
The Food Services Storeroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing food, paper products, and cleaning supplies for the Food Services department. Maintains accurate inventory records, supports returns processing, and ensures compliance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Receives, inspects, and stocks incoming deliveries of food, paper goods, and cleaning supplies. 2. Accurately picks, issues, and delivers products to internal departments as requested. 3. Maintains organized and clean storage areas in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. 4. Performs data entry and maintains inventory records using department software systems. 5. Monitors expiration dates, product temperatures, and rotation to support food safety compliance. 6. Prepares items for return shipping and ensures proper documentation. 7. Complies with JCAHO and HACCP standards and maintains ServSafe certification, if applicable. 8. Supports periodic inventory counts and audits. 9. Fill in to support other Support Services areas as needed to ensure operational efficiency. 10. This role may support other operational areas as needed to meet departmental needs.
Other information:
Technical Expertise 1. Experience with inventory control or supply chain systems is preferred. 2. Experience in food service or a healthcare setting is preferred. 3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required. 4. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., HACCP) is a plus. Education and Experience 1.
