Ice Cream Shop Team Member Z's Ice Cream - Hinckley, Ohio Do you love ice cream, working with people, and being part of a fun team? We're looking for friendly, dependable team members to help us provide great service and bring people together to enjoy homemade ice cream right here in Hinckley. This is a great opportunity for high school students, first-time workers, retirees, or anyone looking for a fun, part-time position. No previous ice cream shop experience is required — we're happy to train the right person! What You'll Do As an Ice Cream Shop Team Member, you'll help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every customer.

Responsibilities include:

Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service Scoop and serve ice cream and other menu items Take customer orders and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions Assist with basic food and ice cream preparation Restock supplies and keep service areas organized Wash dishes and clean counters, equipment, tables, and floors Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements Work together with other team members to keep the shop running smoothly What We're Looking For Friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude Dependable and willing to learn Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team Basic math skills Ability to provide excellent customer service Ability to work in a busy environment Previous cash register or POS experience is helpful but not required Previous ice cream shop, restaurant, or kitchen experience is a plus but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move around the shop throughout the shift Ability to bend, reach, and perform routine cleaning duties Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds Availability Applicants should have availability for some evenings, weekends, and holidays .
