RESPONSIBILITIES

Give every customer immediate and undivided attentionFollow through on all customer questions and requestsEnsure that food quality, freshness and presentation meet all company standardsFollow established food safety proceduresKeep department supplies filled and maintainedPractice safe use of all tools and equipment required by positionOrganize, stock and rotate meat and poultry cases while continuously checking and ensuring freshness and quality of productsMaintain back stock areas and coolers; keep all cases and shelves cleanMaintain accurate retail pricing and signageBe aware of new products and their placementKnow product availability, preparation, storage and nutritional aspectsMaintain safe, clean and well organized working and shopping environmentDocument product transfers, waste and spoilage using appropriate formsProperly package and wrap products for retail saleTrim and bone meat and poultry upon guests requestSkewer meat and poultry items for kabobsMarinate meat itemsKnow and practice proper lifting techniquesHelp cross-merchandise product with other departmentsUnderstand why our products are different than conventional stores, and be able to explain to customersAccept and process product from receiverAnswer telephones with proper etiquette when time permits
