Overview Join our dynamic food service team as a Sandwich Maker and become a vital part of creating delicious, fresh sandwiches that delight our customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sandwiches efficiently and with attention to food safety standards. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and excellent customer service will help create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, friendly café or quick service restaurant setting. Duties Prepare a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads according to established recipes and customer specifications Ensure all food handling practices meet sanitation and safety standards, including proper food storage and cleanliness Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods, maintaining high service standards Upsell menu items by recommending add-ons or upgrades to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas through regular bussing and sanitation routines Assist with cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail food industry is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food prep and cleaning Join us to craft tasty sandwiches that keep customers coming back!
