Position Summary:

As a member of our retail team you will be the face of Dos Hermanos Cafe. You're responsible for organizing, promoting, and selling our products in our retail cafes. We want our customers to feel like they ve stepped into a second home. This is a family business and the story of two brothers is a part of our cafe culture. Help craft a welcoming environment where energy, creativity, and community come together. You will follow procedures, ensure an accurate sales process, and provide exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment in delivering a positive and memorable experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Enroll and accept invitations in Homebase app and keep personal information current. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Work independently and as part of a team.

Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Cash handling using basic math skills.

Maintain a current food handlers permit

Opening:

Keep the defined areas around our bakery building clean and tidy.

Set up the cafe according to established standards, ensuring a visually appealing and organized display.

Follow the opening checklist provided by your manager.

Customer Service & Sales:

Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service to customers.

Accurately describe our products and answer customer questions.

Process sales transactions using cash or card readers, maintaining accurate cash handling procedures.

Build rapport with team members and customers and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Retail Operations:

Maintain a clean and organized work space throughout your shift.

Replenish stock as needed.

Handle baked goods with care and attention to detail.

Make food and beverage products according to defined standards.

Closing:

Efficiently break down all stations at the end of the day.

Clean bathrooms, wipe down tables and mop the floor. Wash dishes, utensils and cutting boards.

Take out the garbage. Follow the closing checklist provided by management.

Qualifications:

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Experience with cash handling and basic math skills.

Availability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and early mornings.

Prior food handling experience and food handlers permitBilingual (English/Spanish)

Schedule:

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate operational needs.

Early morning start times required.
