Job Description

Summer Youth Programs Team Member Delaware Valley University (DelVal) is an academic leader in experiential learning, offering a combination of hands-on training and personalized academic attention since 1896. Located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, DelVal offers 28 undergraduate majors, graduate degrees, continuing education, online career development, and certificate programs. The university is known for its 1,000-acre campus and distinctive programs in agribusiness, food science, animal science, and zoo science. With a 13:1 student-faculty ratio, DelVal provides hands-on learning through small class sizes across all disciplines. We are seeking energetic, experienced individuals to support our youth programs during the 2026 summer camp season. Youth Programs Team Members will assist instructors in specialty areas including Animal Science, Sports and Recreation, Theatre, Technology, Robotics, STEM, Digital Media, Arts, Coding, Literature, App and Game Design, and more!
Flexible commitment:
work for one to eight weeks depending on your availability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting Instructional Specialists with classroom instruction during one-week programs Supporting youth participant supervision, engagement, care and daily needs Managing classroom dynamics and behavior Facilitating campus navigation, lunch, and health concerns Serving as a positive ambassador for the program Qualifications 18 years of age or older 2+ years of experience in youth leadership, programs, or direct work with children/teens Background in education, coaching, camp, childcare, social work, or psychology strongly preferred Strong communication skills with youth, peers, and families Collaborative team player with strong initiative Dependable, adaptable, and committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment Selected applicants will be responsible for providing the University with clearances, appropriate to the position, that have been completed within the last 5 years. These clearances will include but are not limited to: Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification, and the FBI Criminal Background Check completed by IDENTGO.
