Job Description

Our client, a mid-size manufacturing company located in Erie, PA is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and strong attention to detail RAW/KFW Floating Team member to join their team with the goal of enhancing their manufacturing process through both individual and team effort. This position requires an excellent work ethic, strong mechanical and technical abilities, as well as the ability to work as part of a team and individually. Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring that all
KFR 630, RAW
63/63, and
RAW 160/160
operation functions are carried out as required Review of job travelers for processing instructions Set-up and operation of the preform press for each production order as required Operation of manipulator and other handling equipment for the transfer of work pieces at all stages of ring mill production Receipt and cutting of raw material Loading and operation of forge furnaces Operation of water spray descaler at ring mill Measurement of hot rolled ring and disk dimensions to ensure compliance with job traveler Staging of product for heat treatment after rolling; set up and operation of heat treat furnace(s) Operation of shot blaster Final inspection of completed product and preparation for shipment Completion of routine preventive maintenance items and assistance with other equipment maintenance activities as needed. Maintain a safe work environment that is in accordance with safety training, policies, and procedures. Perform other related work as requested, required, or directed by supervision.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must have mechanical and technical ability to understand and operate machinery, make tooling changes, and read and interpret technical instructions. Must have sufficient math skills to perform required functions. Should display initiative and creative thought in planning and carrying out required work. Strong interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain team atmosphere and effort. Physical Requirements Must have physical ability to walk, stand, carry, bend, reach, push, pull, hammer, and hold in order to set up most jobs and make required tooling changes. Considerable hand to eye and hand to hand coordination are required. Near vision (with correction, if necessary) must be adequate to perform required measurements. Must be able to function in a distractingly loud, oily, dirty, and hot environment Must be able to lift 10 to 50 pounds frequently.
