Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly Deli Clerk to join our Food & Beverage Operations team. In this role, you'll slice meats and cheeses, prepare deli trays, and maintain fresh, attractive displays while following strict food safety and sanitation standards. You'll engage customers with product knowledge, samples, and suggestions that support healthy, natural living. Working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, you'll operate POS systems, stock and rotate product, and help keep the deli clean and organized. Responsibilities Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service at the deli counter Slice meats and cheeses to order using deli equipment safely Prepare salads, sandwiches, and deli trays to Sprouts standards Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas at all times Stock, rotate, and label deli products following FIFO practices Set and refresh attractive product displays and case layouts Operate POS system, handle cash, and process transactions accurately Follow all food safety, temperature control, and hygiene guidelines Communicate with team members to ensure product availability Support Sprouts' focus on natural, organic, and healthy foods Required Skills Customer service Food slicing and preparation Knowledge of deli meats and cheeses Food safety and sanitation Point-of-sale (POS) operation Product labeling and rotation Knife handling Merchandising and display Inventory stocking Basic math and cash handling
