Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Deli Associate and become a vital part of delivering fresh, high-quality food and exceptional customer service. In this energetic role, you will prepare delicious deli items, assist customers with their selections, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the food preparation area. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of deli foods including sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts with precision and care. Provide friendly, prompt service to customers by assisting with product selection and answering questions about menu items. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure all products are properly labeled and rotated for freshness. Support food safety management practices including proper sanitation, food storage, and waste disposal. Help with stocking and cleaning around the supermarket Requirements Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail sales is highly preferred; experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail transactions. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks required in a fast-paced environment.
