Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and friendly Deli Clerk to join our team. In this role, you'll be the face of our deli section, helping customers select quality products and ensuring the area remains clean, organized, and inviting. The ideal candidate is passionate about food service, enjoys engaging with people, and has a knack for multitasking in a lively retail environment. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and specialty products following company standards. Assist customers with their selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent service. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food handling and equipment upkeep. Restock shelves and display cases to ensure product availability and visual appeal. Support food safety practices by adhering to sanitation guidelines and proper food handling procedures. Upsell products by suggesting complementary items to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, retail, or food service is preferred but not required.. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and good communication abilities. Basic math skills for cash handling, pricing, and inventory management. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a quick service or grocery store setting. Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key.
