Job Description

Morning Kitchen Team Member - Full-Time & Part-Time Start Early. Finish Early. If you're an early riser who likes getting your workday started—and finished—earlier, our Morning Kitchen Team may be a great fit. Chick-fil-A The Shoppes at Bartlett is looking for dependable, hardworking Team Members to help prepare our kitchen for the day and serve our guests throughout the morning and daytime hours. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Opening shifts may begin as early as 4:30 AM , with additional morning and daytime schedules available based on restaurant needs. No previous restaurant experience is required. We'll provide hands-on training to teach you our kitchen positions, food-preparation procedures, equipment, and safety standards. Help Us Start the Day Strong Our Morning Kitchen Team plays an important role in setting up the restaurant for a successful day. Depending on your position and training, morning responsibilities may include: Preparing the kitchen and assigned stations for daily operations Setting up equipment and work areas for the day Preparing ingredients and products needed for breakfast and lunch service Stocking food, packaging, and supplies before and during service Preparing, cooking, and assembling menu items according to Chick-fil-A standards Breading chicken by hand and preparing products for cooking Operating grills, pressure fryers, open fryers, and other kitchen equipment after completing required training Monitoring food quality, freshness, and product levels Completing required temperature checks and food-safety procedures Following established recipes, cooking procedures, and portion standards Reading order screens and preparing products accurately Keeping food-preparation areas clean, organized, and stocked Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment Receiving and organizing deliveries when assigned Communicating with teammates and leaders to keep food fresh and orders moving Preparing the kitchen for smooth transitions between breakfast, lunch, and later shifts What We're Looking For Morning shifts depend heavily on Team Members being reliable and ready to work at their scheduled start time . We're looking for people who: Are dependable and punctual Are comfortable working early-morning hours Arrive prepared and ready to contribute Work with urgency while maintaining quality and safety Follow recipes and procedures consistently Pay attention to details Stay productive throughout the shift Maintain clean and organized work areas Communicate clearly with Team Members and leaders Accept coaching and apply feedback Take responsibility for mistakes and work to improve Help teammates when needed Maintain a positive and professional attitude Follow restaurant policies, food-safety procedures, and workplace-safety expectations Morning & Daytime Scheduling Opening shifts may begin as early as 4:30 AM . Other morning and daytime shifts may begin later depending on restaurant needs and the availability agreed upon at hiring. Shift end times will vary based on start time, employment status, and scheduling needs, with daytime scheduling generally extending through approximately 4:00 PM . Both full-time and part-time schedules may be available. Saturday availability is required depending on the position and schedule agreed upon at hiring. Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays. Build Your Kitchen Skills You don't need to know how to operate every kitchen position when you start. Through training and experience, you'll have opportunities to learn different areas of our kitchen and build skills in: Food preparation and production Kitchen setup and organization Food safety and sanitation Equipment operation Quality control Time management Communication Teamwork Problem-solving Working efficiently during high-volume periods As you demonstrate reliability, strong performance, and initiative, you may have opportunities to cross-train in additional positions and pursue leadership development.
