Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently. Engage with customers in a friendly, energetic manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and upselling additional products to enhance sales. Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety standards and sanitation protocols. Manage food preparation tasks such as slicing meats, cheeses, vegetables, and assembling ingredients while following proper food handling procedures. Support team members by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and assisting in kitchen operations to ensure smooth service flow. Uphold safety standards by practicing proper food safety techniques and sanitation practices throughout all duties. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced restaurant or café setting. Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying supervisors when stock levels are low. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards within the food industry or quick-service restaurant environment. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods. Experience working in a fast-paced setting such as a quick service or fast-food restaurant is highly desirable.
