Job Description
Job description The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains production and facility equipment. The role will be responsible for general mechanical and industrial electrical maintenance work on all production and grounds equipment. Will perform duties such as rebuilding, troubleshooting controls and general repairs. Works with robotics, PLC's, pumps, hydraulics, conveyors, and pneumatics. Also, will perform machine installation, construction, and facility maintenance. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibility:
In addition to the below, other duties may be assigned, as necessary. Repairing basic electrical and mechanical systems like wiring, switches, tools, and manually operating plant equipment. Reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals to determine appropriate maintenance and repair needs. Robotics experience in maintaining, troubleshooting and repair. Machine PLC logic troubleshooting. Troubleshooting production equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to determine maintenance and service requirements. Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities as required. Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving parts and equipment in preparation for inspection, maintenance, or service using powered industrial trucks and overhead lifting equipment as required. Perform basic computer functions such as: work order data entry, look up inventory stock locations, log downtime comments and minutes. Read and understand meters and gauges. Maintain clean work area and practice good housekeeping on a regular basis. Actively participate in repairing and communication safety hazards. Fabrication of parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintain open communication with production personnel. Identifies and reports opportunities for improvements focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime.Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires a certificate of education in the Electro-Mechanical field or Maintenance Certificate. Requires 2+ years working experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical controls, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Component or millwork equipment maintenance knowledge a plus. Capable of using mechanical equipment and other tools to solve problems. Ability to weld and use electrical equipment. Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of required equipment, tools, and powered industrial trucks. Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and measuring devices. Ability to maintain a valid driver license and required industrial fork truck certification. Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and work record. Ability to work any shift and "on call" as needed.Job Type:
