Jane and the Lion Bakehouse is looking for team members to help bring warmth, rhythm, and hospitality to our growing Houston Bakehouse. We re looking for people who care about details, enjoy connecting with others, and want to be part of a team building something meaningful through food made with intention.

This role helps keep the Bakehouse flowing day to day, from helping guests at the counter to packaging pastries, stocking shelves, running food, supporting farmers market prep, and creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the door.

About Jane and the Lion BakehouseWe re a seasonal, ingredient driven Bakehouse rooted in thoughtful hospitality, naturally fermented breads, and 100% crap free food. We work closely with local farms and producers and believe deeply in creating spaces that feel nourishing, welcoming, and alive.

What You ll

Do:

Welcome and assist guests with warmth and hospitalityHelp package pastries, breads, grab n go items, and pantry goodsRun food, interact with guests, and help create a thoughtful dine in experienceMaintain a clean, organized, and stocked BakehouseSupport service flow during busy hoursLearn about our seasonal menu, ingredients, and local producersAssist with prep and organization for weekend farmers marketsWork closely with the Bakehouse team to create a thoughtful guest experienceWhat We re Looking ForYou should be dependable, team oriented, friendly, and excited to learn. Hospitality, caf , bakery, or restaurant experience is a plus, but attitude, care, and willingness to jump in matter just as much.

Weekend availability is important for this role.

Compensation$7.50/hour plus tips.

Tips currently bring average hourly earnings to $15+/hour.
