Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Manage food service customer order processing from start to finish, including order entry, payment processing, and order delivery. Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities through friendly suggestions. Ensure retail sales transactions are smooth by managing POS systems efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Support food safety management by following sanitation protocols and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens safely to prepare menu items quickly during busy hours. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and maintaining a tidy work environment throughout your shift. Skills Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with knowledge of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling. Strong time management skills to handle high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that makes guests feel welcome. Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash transactions and sales calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced setting such as a café or restaurant environment. Retail sales experience is a plus for upselling menu items effectively.
