Job Description
Farmers Market Food Assembler East India Kebabs is looking for friendly, dependable team members to help prepare and serve food at local farmers markets and catering events. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with food, interacting with customers, and being part of a fast-paced team. Prior restaurant experience is helpful but not required — we are happy to train motivated beginners. Responsibilities
- Assemble bowls, wraps, platters, and other menu items according to our standards
- Portion proteins, rice, salads, sauces, naan, and sides
- Serve customers quickly and accurately during busy market periods
- Assist with setting up tables, food stations, equipment, signage, and supplies
- Refill food and packaging items throughout the event
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
- Follow food safety and proper food-handling procedures
- Help pack, load, unload, and clean up after the market
- Work closely with other team members to keep service moving efficiently
- Provide friendly and welcoming customer service What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to stand for several hours during a shift
- Able to lift and carry approximately 30-40 lbs when needed
- Comfortable working outdoors at farmers markets
- Available on(Must) Tuesdays at MetropolitanPark, ArlingtonVA 9am to 3pm Wednesdays Georgetown University, DC 9am to 5pm
- Food service or customer service experience is a plus, but not required Schedule Part-time / Event-based Most shifts are during weekends and farmers market hours, with additional opportunities available for catering events and special events.

$15.00- $20.
