Kennel connected to a well-established exotic and companion animal veterinary practice in Yorktown, Virginia is looking for a part time kennel technician.

Candidates must be able to:

Work independentlyHave strong communication skillsBe proficient with computers and new softwareHave their own reliable transportationBe able to work efficiently

Duties Include:

Leash walking small and large dogsMonitoring canine interactions during Doggie Day CareFeeding and medicating both dogs and catsPerforming basic nail trims on dogs and catsBathing DogsCleaning and sanitizing the kennel and runsInteracting with our clientele during drop off and pick up proceduresUsing our computer system to make reservations and check clients in and out.

Completing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that support continued operations of the kennel. Previous experience as a kennel technician is preferred. Knowledge of basic pet care and husbandry is a must. This position requires that candidates be available for work on Thursday, Saturdays, and Sundays with holiday coverage as needed.
