Front of House Team Member Old Town Kitchen | Old Town Silverdale, WA Old Town Kitchen is a locally owned café and bakery in Old Town Silverdale, across from the waterfront. We offer breakfast, lunch, espresso drinks, house-made bakery items, and seasonal specials in a welcoming two-story café. Our service style is warm, efficient, and attentive without being overly formal. Guests order at the counter, and our FOH team is responsible for creating a smooth experience from the first greeting through food and beverage service. Position Summary The Front of House Team Member is provides friendly, efficient service while helping keep the café organized, clean, and running smoothly. This is an active, hands-on position. FOH team members rotate among the register, espresso bar, food running, dining room, restocking, cleaning, and other daily responsibilities. Everyone contributes where needed rather than working in one assigned station for the entire shift. We are looking for people who are dependable, observant, comfortable working independently, and willing to step in without always needing to be directed. Responsibilities Guest Service Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service. Take orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and current offerings. Help guests navigate our curated menu and make recommendations when appropriate. Deliver food and beverages to guests. Check and maintain the dining areas regularly. Service Prepare espresso drinks and other beverages according to OTK recipes and standards. Maintain consistency in drink preparation and presentation. Keep the espresso station clean, stocked, and organized. Prepare drip coffee, tea, lemonade, and other café beverages as needed. Run food to downstairs, upstairs and deck dining areas. Package takeout orders accurately. Assist with appropriate FOH food finishing and preparation. Maintain awareness of available menu items throughout the shift. Dining Room & Café Operations Maintain clean and welcoming dining areas upstairs, downstairs, and on the deck when open. Clear tables as needed. Maintain the guest bussing station and water service area. Restock cups, lids, napkins, utensils, condiments, and other supplies. Keep counters, service areas, and guest-facing spaces clean throughout the day. Complete opening, shift, and closing responsibilities. Teamwork Communicate clearly with both FOH and BOH team members. Recognize what needs to be done and assist without waiting to be asked. Help teammates during busy periods. Complete assigned side work and shared responsibilities. Receive feedback professionally and make adjustments when needed. Contribute to a calm, respectful, and productive workplace. Able to remain calm and organized during busy periods. Detail-oriented and attentive to their surroundings. Comfortable moving between different responsibilities throughout a shift. Able to prioritize tasks. Comfortable working as part of a small team where every person's contribution matters. Receptive to direction and feedback. Interested in maintaining high standards for both service and the appearance of the café. Previous café, restaurant, barista, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability, and the ability to learn are equally important. Physical Requirements This is an active hospitality position. Team members must be able to: Remain on their feet for extended periods. Regularly walk between the first and second floors of the café. Carry food, beverages, dishes, and supplies safely on stairs. Bend, reach, lift, and perform routine cleaning tasks. Safely lift and carry approximately 50 pounds. Pay:
$17.38 - $18.50 per hour
