Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders at the deli counter, or as a cashier on the front end, providing excellent customer service. Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Prepare simple food items and assist with food preparation tasks to support the deli team, as a deli clerk. Manage cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and handling change with precision, as a cashier. Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing surfaces, organizing products, and adhering to sanitation standards for food safety management. Upsell products by recommending additional items or specials to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service & fast-food restaurant environments. Familiarity with POS systems for seamless transaction processing. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to engaging shoppers. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between cashier duties and food prep. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and sales recording. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Experience operating kitchen equipment and maintaining a clean workspace to ensure health standards are met.
