This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys craft beer, isn't afraid of physical work, and wants to learn more about the brewing process while also spending a couple of shifts each week serving customers in our taproom. We're a neighborhood brewery with a laid-back, community-focused atmosphere. We brew a wide variety of beers, with a particular love for Belgian-style beers, along with IPAs, lagers, barrel-aged beers and other rotating styles. What You'll Do Brewing & Cellar Work Working alongside our Head Brewer, you'll typically spend two shifts per week assisting with day-to-day brewery operations, including:
- Assisting with all aspects of beer production, from raw ingredients to draft
- Cleaning and sanitizing tanks, kegs, hoses and brewing equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining brewery work areas
- Receiving and organizing brewing ingredients and supplies
- Performing other brewery tasks as needed Prior professional brewing experience is preferred. We're looking for someone who is passionate about brewing, has a strong work ethic and is eager to learn. Beertending This position will also include approximately two to three taproom shifts per week, including responsibilities such as:
- Greeting customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable service
- Pouring and serving beer
- Operating the POS system and handling customer transactions
- Maintaining a clean, organized bar and taproom
- Opening and/or closing the taproom as scheduled
- Helping create the welcoming neighborhood atmosphere we're known for What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate:
- Has a genuine interest in craft beer and the brewing process
- Is dependable, punctual and comfortable working independently
- Enjoys both behind-the-scenes production work and interacting with customers
- Is willing to learn and take direction
- Pays attention to cleanliness and detail
- Can safely lift and move 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Is comfortable working in a brewery environment that can be wet, hot, cold and physically demanding
- Is available for a combination of weekday brewery hours and taproom shifts, including some evenings and weekends
- Is at least 21 years old Schedule This is a part-time position combining brewery hours based on production needs with approximately two to three beertending shifts per week.
