Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Wine Manager t o join our leadership team. This is a salaried position with additional commission based on wine sales, creating an opportunity to increase earnings while growing and developing the restaurant's wine program. The ideal candidate shares our passion for hospitality and service, has a strong work ethic, is committed to excellence, and is excited to be part of our team. This is a hands-on management position with a strong presence on the floor and will primarily consist of evening and weekend services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and continuously develop the restaurant's wine program. Drive wine sales through guest engagement and staff education. Manage wine inventory, ordering, receiving, and organization. Maintain relationships with wine vendors and distributors. Monitor wine costs, pricing, and inventory levels. Assist guests with wine selections and pairings. Conduct wine training and tastings for the service team. Maintain high standards of wine service and presentation. Work closely with the culinary and management teams. Support daily restaurant operations and overall service when needed.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
3+ years of restaurant experience with a strong wine program. Fine-dining experience preferred. Excellent domestic and international wine knowledge. Wine certification or formal education preferred, but not required. Experience with POS and inventory systems. Knowledge of wine purchasing, inventory, and cost control. Strong sales skills and ability to engage with guests. Ability to train, motivate, and develop staff. Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Positive, professional, and team-oriented mentality. We are looking for someone who understands that a successful wine program is not only about wine knowledge, but also about hospitality, sales, education, and creating memorable guest experiences.
