Overview At Honey Baked Ham, the glazer plays a crucial role in preparing the signature product that the company is known for. The glazer is responsible for applying the sweet, crunchy glaze that gives Honey Baked Ham its unique flavor and appearance. Main Responsibilities • Preparing the
Glaze:
The glazer measures and mixes the special blend of sugar and spices that make up the glaze. • Applying the
Glaze:
Once the hams are cooked, the glazer carefully applies the glaze mixture to the surface of each ham. • Caramelizing the
Glaze:
Using a torch or oven, the glazer heats the glaze to caramelize the sugar, creating the ham's signature crispy, sweet crust. •
Quality Control:
The glazer inspects each ham to ensure the glaze is evenly distributed and meets company standards for taste and appearance. •
Cleaning and Safety:
The glazer maintains a clean workspace and follows food safety guidelines throughout the process.
