Job Description
We are looking for a part-time/full-time position to service both salt and fresh water aquariums. Whether you're an experienced professional or an aquarium hobbyist, if you're passionate about fish and aquatic life and enjoy hands-on work, we provide the training you need to succeed. Qualifications Reliable Great attitude Able to lift and carry 50 pounds Excellent communication and customer service skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions The ideal candidate will be honest, hardworking, friendly, and organized We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, builds strong relationships with clients, and maintains a high level of professionalism Prior experience in aquarium maintenance or as a hobbyist is preferred Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on aquariums at residential and commercial client locations Clean tanks, change water, and ensure proper chemical balance to maintain a healthy aquatic environment Inspect, clean, and replace aquarium equipment such as filters, heaters, and lighting to ensure proper functionality Provide basic care recommendations to clients regarding their aquarium and fish health Maintain accurate records of maintenance visits and client needs Drive between client locations throughout Grand Rapids and surrounding areas Sales/networking to obtain new clients Review daily water chemistry reporting and make corrections or adjustments as needed for systems in the retail shop Oversee animals in the retail shop, including fish, coral, and invertebrates, to ensure their safety and well-being Receive live animals and acclimate them according to procedure
