Host Job Description:
Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. During your shift you may be required to take direction from either the MIC or GM. At times, a "non-manager", such as a server/shift lead, may be assigned shift control and you will be expected to follow their direction.Essential Host Functions:
Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party. Call out name and number of party when tables become available. Provide guests with estimated waiting time. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations. Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server's name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Answer phones and assist with take-out ordering. Assisting other team members when help is needed. Complete assigned station side work and light cleaning duties. Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Host Qualifications No experience required! Have the necessary stamina to work on feet for up to 10 hours including stooping, reaching, bending, twisting and lifting/carrying loads up to 50 lbs. Be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully in the predominant language of our guests and team.Job Types:
