In this dynamic role, you will be the heart and soul of our smokehouse, expertly managing the art of slow-cooking, smoking, and grilling to create mouthwatering dishes that delight every guest. Your expertise will ensure consistent quality, innovative flavors, and an unforgettable dining experience. Join us to lead our pit crew with energy, precision, and a love for authentic smoked cuisine! Responsibilities Oversee the entire smoking process, ensuring meats and ingredients are cooked to perfection with optimal flavor and tenderness Maintain and operate all smoking equipment safely and efficiently, performing regular cleaning and troubleshooting as needed Monitor temperature controls throughout the cooking process, adjusting as necessary to meet quality standards Train and mentor team members on proper pit management, safety procedures, and cooking techniques to uphold high standards of excellence Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the smoking area in compliance with health regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and presentation for service Qualifications Proven experience as a Pitmaster or in a similar smoked meat culinary role with a strong understanding of barbecue techniques Ability to operate commercial-grade smokers, grills, thermometers, and related equipment safely Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Passion for authentic barbecue culture combined with a creative approach to flavor development Excellent communication skills to lead team members effectively and ensure smooth kitchen operations Food safety certification or willingness to obtain required certifications in accordance with local health regulations Able to lift 50-100lbs Embark on a flavorful journey where your skills elevate our culinary offerings!
