Job Description
760 Craft Works is an award-winning independent craft brewery in Huntersville, NC — including multiple World Beer Cup medals — with a 4,000-square-foot indoor taproom and over 13,000 square feet of outdoor beer garden, all beer brewed on site. We're looking for a General Manager to take full ownership of the taproom side of the business and help build one of North Carolina's premier brewery hospitality destinations. ⸻ Compensation & Benefits $65,000-$80,000 annual salary, based on experience. Candidates with demonstrated success leading hospitality operations — including real ownership of P&L performance and hands-on use of sales and labor data to drive results — will be considered at the top of the range. Performance bonus tied to measurable retail performance and guest experience metrics, with specific goals established collaboratively during onboarding Company contribution to medical, dental and vision insurance Two weeks paid time off, plus 10 paid company holidays, with additional PTO earned with tenure Employee discounts on beer and merchandise Schedule built around leading during peak hours — not closing every night (details below) ⸻ The Role This is not a desk job. You'll spend most of your time on the floor — coaching bartenders, solving problems in real time, and setting the standard for what a guest should experience here. You'll own the retail side of the business: front-of-house staffing, taproom operations, guest experience, event programming, and our new cocktail program. Ownership stays involved in long-term strategy, brewing is led by our Head Brewer, and marketing has dedicated leadership — your lane is everything the guest sees, tastes, and experiences. We're currently doing just under $1M in annual taproom revenue and want a GM who can read the numbers behind that, not just run a good shift. If you can look at a P&L, a labor report, or a month of Toast data and understand what the numbers are telling you — and act on it — that's exactly what we need. ⸻ What You'll Own Team Leadership Hire, train, coach, and schedule a front-of-house team of 8-10 bartenders and barbacks Build a culture of accountability and hospitality — and lead it from the floor during our busiest hours Propose wage and staffing changes to Company leadership as the team grows Guest Experience Service standards, cleanliness, atmosphere, speed of service, and overall consistency Turn first-time visitors into regulars Programming & Events Own the weekly event calendar and food truck lineup Coordinate off-site festivals and pop-ups Collaborate with marketing on promotions and guest engagement Continuously evaluate programming and guest traffic to identify opportunities to grow evening visitation and repeat business Retail Operations & P&L Toast POS administration and monthly performance reporting Ordering and inventory for taproom supplies, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic beverages (curated for brand fit, not mass-market) Track and report on taproom revenue, labor cost, and guest metrics — and adjust based on what the data shows Cocktail Program Launch and refine a cocktail menu that complements our beer & wine programs Train the team, measure guest response, keep improving it ⸻ What Success Looks Like Taproom revenue growth, year over year A confident, well-trained front-of-house team with strong guest reviews A cocktail program fully integrated into daily operations A taproom that serves families well during the day while becoming an increasingly popular evening destination for adults ⸻ Why This Role Is Different You won't inherit a struggling business. You'll inherit an award-winning brewery with nearly $1 million in annual retail sales, a nationally recognized beer program, one of the Charlotte region's most distinctive brewery properties, and Company leadership committed to investing seriously in hospitality. If you enjoy building teams, improving systems, and creating memorable guest experiences, this is a business with real room to grow — and the resources behind you to grow it. ⸻ Schedule Full-time, 5 days/week, with flexibility for two consecutive days off/week. Our busiest hours are Friday evenings and Saturday afternoon/evenings — you'll typically work two of the three weekend days and need to be present and visible during peak hours. The role is built around leading during peak business—not closing the building every night. ⸻ Who You Are 3+ years leading hospitality operations — brewery, bar, restaurant, or similar guest-focused business Comfortable managing a hospitality business using monthly P&Ls, labor reports, and sales data to make better operational decisions Proven experience hiring, training, and holding a team accountable POS experience (Toast preferred) Able to work evenings, weekends, and occasional events You want to build a program, not just manage one that already exists ⸻ What We Offer This role comes with real ownership. You'll have the autonomy to improve systems, build your team, shape programming, launch new initiatives, and elevate the guest experience — while working directly with Company leadership to help shape the future of the business. We're looking for someone who wants to build something, not simply maintain it. ⸻ 760 Craft Works is an equal opportunity employer.
