Job Description

Overview The Better Man Distilling Co. is seeking an Assistant Distiller to add to our production team. We are looking for someone with a positive work ethic and a keen interest in the day-to-day tasks involved in producing spirits. The ideal candidate will be a quick-learner, able to follow instructions exactly and enjoy working in a small business environment. Candidates for EITHER a full-time (standard 36 to 40-hr work week) or part-time (16 to 24 hours) position will be considered. Key Responsibilities Carry out all aspects of production, including measuring ingredients, distilling spirits, as well as blending, bottling, labeling, and packaging finished products. Clean equipment used for the production and bottling of spirits. Receive raw materials and operate fork lift. Assist in record-keeping for storage, production, and processing. Daily tidying and cleaning of production area. Qualifications Minimum one year employment in craft spirits production in a hands-on brewing or distilling role. Must be able to work on your feet for most assigned tasks. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs unassisted. Must have a valid driver's license. High School degree or equivalent is required. Able to work with minimal supervision and follow technical instructions precisely. Mechanical aptitude - basic knowledge of machinery and systems. Fork-lift certification is a plus but we will train if necessary. Expectations Ability and desire to learn new skills and complete tasks on time. Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
