Job Description

LONG WALK VINEYARD ASHLAND, OREGON
Job Description :
Long Walk is a boutique vineyard and winery located in Ashland, Oregon. We are committed to organic and sustainable farming practices. Our wine Tasting House is a converted farm building overlookings the Valley, the vineyard and the historic Valley View Orchard (also part of our 50 acre property). The Tasting House is open Wednesday-Sunday from 11am to 6pm. We seek a motivated, team-oriented, energetic self-starter to join our Tasting House team on a part time basis, reporting to the Tasting House manager and assisting in all facets of the customer experience. Taking care of customers and wine club members, including pouring and talking about wine, telling the Long Walk story and driving sales and wine club sign-ups are the main requirements of the position. Sales experience is a plus; a positive approach and an ability to bring passion and energy to the job is a must. Other aspects of the position include helping with inventory and e-mail sign up list management, pitching in on occasional Tasting House events, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, and assisting the Tasting House Manager with special projects as needed. Candidates need to be great communicators with good judgment, a sense of humor (we like to have fun at work!) and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Willingness to work as part of a team and interact graciously with the public critical. Prior experience in a winery, wine tasting or other hospitality-related environment is a plus but not a requirement. We will consider favorably any candidate with a passion for wine, a desire to learn about and be part of the wine industry, and an "above and beyond" mentality when it comes to customer service!
