Job Description

Hands on training opportunity for someone to learn various aspects of the Culinary department and hotel business. This position is a "utility player" who will rotate throughout our various Food & Beverage outlets and positions based upon business need.
Essential Functions:
Flexible in working various entry level service positions within the property. Position will rotate among banquet, restaurant, in room dining culinary experiences. Attend to and anticipate guest's needs. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in scheduling. Demonstrate excellent teamwork. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Operations Leader.
Qualifications:
Minimum of6 months of food & beverage operations experiencerequired Previous cafeteria and/or entry-level culinary experience preferred, ideally within a hotel environment Strong attention to detail with the ability tomulti-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and across departments Demonstrates a calm, professional, and welcoming demeanor when handling internal questions or concerns Basic math skills required to understand and execute recipes and measurements accurately Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to safely operate kitchen equipment (knives, spatulas, tongs, etc.) Ability to work around a variety of cleaning chemicals and respond appropriately to hazardous situations
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, including the duration of a full shift Frequent bending, reaching overhead, and squatting required Ability to lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 30lbsindependentlyand up to100lbswithassistance Ability to push, move, or transport items (up to 70 lbs) using a hand cart Ability to stoop and perform repetitive physical tasks as needed Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
