Yakima, WA Job Details Full-time From $19 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Employee discount Safety equipment provided Qualifications Food production Teamwork Forklift Manufacturing standard operating procedures Organizational skills Industrial equipment Full Job Description Position Summary The Cellar Worker is responsible for supporting all aspects of hard cider production from juice handling through fermentation, blending, carbonation, packaging preparation, sanitation, and cellar organization. This role works closely with the production, packaging, and quality teams to ensure cider is produced safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced production environment requiring physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Production & Cellar Operations Assist with juice receiving, transfers, fermentation management, blending, carbonation, filtration, and tank operations Clean, sanitize, and maintain tanks, hoses, pumps, filters, and cellar equipment Perform CIP (Clean-in-Place) procedures according to sanitation standards Operate pumps, forklifts, pallet jacks, and cellar equipment safely Monitor fermentation activity and record production data accurately Assist with yeast additions, nutrient additions, fining agents, and cider adjustments as directed Support packaging operations including kegging, canning, and product staging Perform product transfers between tanks and packaging lines Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout the production facility Quality & Safety Assist with quality control sampling and testing procedures Identify and communicate equipment, sanitation, or product quality concerns Properly handle chemicals and cleaning agents Maintain accurate production and sanitation records Team Support Collaborate with production, warehouse, and sales teams as needed Assist with extended production schedules Support preventative maintenance and general facility upkeep Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Prior experience in beverage production, brewing, winemaking, cidermaking, food manufacturing, or cellar operations preferred Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with production equipment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification Flexible schedule including occasional overtime, weekends Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds regularly Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in wet/cold environments for extended periods Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals, CO2, and production machinery Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Work Environment This position operates in a production facility environment with exposure to noise, forklifts, moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, moisture, and cleaning chemicals. Proper PPE is required and provided.
