Weekends are rare:

we typically need just 2-3 Saturday shifts a year, scheduled at least 2 weeks ahead. Our weekday schedule follows the baking seasons, so you'll know what to expect ahead of time: Early December-April, September-mid-October Start Time 10:30 AM Typical finish 6:30-7:00 PM Mid-October-early December (holiday baking) Start Time 12:00 PM Typical finish 9:00 PM May-August (summer peak) Start Time 12:00 PM Typical finish about 9:00 PM, occasionally up to 10:00 PM For about half the year, you're home by 7:00 PM. During the holiday baking season and summer, our two busy stretches, days run longer and overtime earning potential goes up with them. As the closing crew, we finish as a team when the day's production and cleanup are done, and we'll always let you know as early as we can when a late night is coming. You'll get real hands-on training and learn to make delicious products that bring friends and families together. A typical shift You'll work as part of a 4-person team on this shift. Your initial duty is as mixer operator. You'll work alongside a line operator, packaging associate and shift supervisor to complete each day's production. Once fully trained in your initial role, you will be cross trained to provide skill building opportunities and flexibility for the team. Physical requirements This is an active job. You'll stand and walk throughout the shift. As a mixer operator you will lift 50 lb bags/buckets of ingredients in the mixer. Other tasks include lifting 30-pound boxes, with occasional lifts up to 50 pounds. You must be capable and comfortable lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout your daily shift. Reliability is crucial on our small closing team. This position starts around noon, and the end time varies based on production needs. Can you reliably arrive on time and get home after a variable closing time, Monday through Friday? This is an active position, you will be on your feet for the duration of the shift and must be capable of lifting, bending and twisting throughout the shift. You will routinely lift and move 30 pound boxes of product and lift up to 50 pounds when loading a mixer. Does this work for you? The exact end time of this shift is determined by production needs of the day. In peak busy periods, the shift can extend by 1-1.5 hours resulting in overtime.
