In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the brewing process from start to finish, and ensuring that all products meet our high-quality standards. The ideal candidate has home-brewed or professionally brewed and understands the brewing process from grain to glass . This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative brewing projects while maintaining safety and quality at every step. Experience and knowledge will be a factor in starting pay rate. On the job training is provided regardless if you have only brewed at home or professionally brewed to ensure consistency around Ahnapee Brewery beers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Brewer:
Operate brew equipment to maintain acceptable inventory of raw materials and beer. Assist with brewery, state and federal compliance, inventory and daily paperwork. Share scheduled work with other brewery staff. Work with and eventually train other brewery production members. Evaluate and monitor beer and raw materials involved in brewing. Maintain cleanliness & sanitation of all equipment, tanks and work areas to maintain consistent beer quality. Fundamental knowledge of plumbing and machinery mechanics/maintenance. Possess basic beer knowledge and an excellent sense of smell, distinguishing flavors, and colors in beer. Physical Requirements Lift 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder high. Lift 110 lbs. from ground to waist high and moving 150 lbs. along the floor. Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders up to or exceeding 20 times per day. Work in small and confined spaces. Read, write and calculate basic algebra.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
