Overlooking Falmouth Heights Beach, Vineyard Sound, and Martha's Vineyard, The Old Casino offers a lively dining experience built around great food, refreshing drinks, ocean views, and memorable service. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working alongside the team, creating a positive atmosphere, solving problems quickly, and making sure every guest leaves happy. Position Overview The Floor Supervisor supports restaurant management by overseeing daily front-of-house operations, guiding employees during service, maintaining service standards, and helping create a fun, organized, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is confident, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading a busy restaurant floor while remaining calm and professional. Responsibilities Lead and support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and other front-of-house employees during service Help organize opening, shift-change, and closing procedures Monitor the dining room, bar, patio, host stand, and guest flow Ensure guests are greeted promptly and receive friendly, attentive service Assist employees during busy periods and help wherever needed Communicate wait times, reservations, seating needs, and special requests Address guest questions or concerns professionally and promptly Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the restaurant Reinforce company policies, service expectations, and workplace standards Help train and coach new and existing team members Communicate operational concerns to restaurant management Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to keep service running smoothly Help create an upbeat, respectful, and team-focused work environment Support special events, live music nights, holiday weekends, and high-volume summer service Qualifications Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience required Previous supervisory, leadership, or shift-lead experience preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Friendly, confident, and professional demeanor Ability to lead by example and remain composed during busy shifts Strong attention to detail and organization Reliable and punctual Comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and seasonal peak periods Ability to stand and move throughout the restaurant for extended periods Familiarity with restaurant point-of-sale systems We are looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys hospitality and working with people Understands the importance of both great service and strong teamwork Is willing to step in and help rather than simply direct others Brings positive energy to every shift Can balance professionalism with the fun atmosphere of a waterfront restaurant Wants to grow with a locally owned hospitality group Why Join Us?
