A Gaming Supervisor supervises staff and coordinates activity in a particular area of a casino or gambling establishment. Circulates through a gambling or table game area; monitors table coverage and observes staff and customers to be sure that game rules are followed. Explains house operating rules as needed. Handles customer complaints. Sets staff schedules and assignments.
Responsible to assist the Executive Restaurant & Bar Manager for the overall operation of food & beverage outlets as directed by the Executive Restaurant & Bar Manager.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Make s recommendations to hire, terminate, promote, demote, transfer, provide training opportunities, recommend merit increases, evaluate performance, create and adjust performance standards, create and/or delegate staff scheduling, invoke disciplinary action and provide for the fair and equitable treatment of all Team Members. Foster s a culture of learning and development; supports individual growth through continuous feedback to achieve personal and professional goals . Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members. Exhibits Leadership skills through the continuous evaluation, guidance and encouragement of Team Members. Maintain s knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort. Recommends process and customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy. Fill in wherever needed within the department when short on staff. Prepares and cook s food , as needed, adhering to and following all Tribal food service sanitation and safety handling guidelines. Monitor s and maintain s beverage cost control methods and procedures. Prepare s methods and procedures whereby beverage costs and supplies are requisitioned and charged to proper areas. Monitor s and maintain s beverage sequence of service. Monitor s guests' consumption of alcohol and intervene s as necessary according to company policy. Communicate s variances from the established standards to the Executive Restaurant & Bar Manager . Complete s the required daily financial tools and reports. Work s with Finance and IT teams to ensure that all revenue is captured and reported in an accurate and relevant manner. Solicit s guest feedback by direct interaction and comment cards. Act s immediately on any guest complaint to ensure that corrections are made and that 100% Satisfaction Guarantee s invocations are made. Maintain s a neat, clean, organized, safe a nd comfortable work environment . Adhere s to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner. Complete s schedules and timecard reviews/approvals through the company approved system . Place s order s for dining room supplies and equipment maintenance as needed. Attends all meetings as required. Complete s all required training satisfactorily. Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality . Work s at other properties as needed. Perform s all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position .

Minimum Qualifications:
High s chool diploma or equivalent and four (4) years' experience , two (2) of which were as a Food and/or Beverage Supervisor or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Wines and Mixology required. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, leadership, communication, team building and problem-solving skills are required. Knowledge of all phases of Beverage. Ability to work liquor control system and trouble shoot if necessary. Must complete TIPS training and certification within thirty (30) days of employment or provide proof of current certifications and must keep current. Must be able to handle busy periods during peak service times. Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) lbs. Must be able to bend, kneel and reach and be able to stand or walk for long periods of time with inf requent and brief rest periods . Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail. Advanced time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced computer skills, e xperience using Microsoft Office products or related software and ability to quickly learn specialized software programs. Must have basic math skills. Must read, write , and speak English fluently. Must be flexible with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, special events, etc., as needed. You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke - filled environment. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance with the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law .
