The Cage & Count Manager is responsible for managing all cage, vault and count team personnel activities. The Manager is accountable for ensuring that all property cash and other monetary instruments are safeguarded to the fullest extent possible. The Cage & Count Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a Fun environment while ensuring that the department is highly structured and team members are trained, knowledgeable, and operating within all regulatory and policy & procedural requirements.

Essential Functions:

Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers. Must possess strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example. Manage cage, count and vault supervisor and team member activities, including hiring, coaching, disciplinary, scheduling, managing supplies, etc. Responsible for ensuring accurate and secure operation of the cashier cages, vault, and count room. Implements and maintains policies and procedures that maximize the effectiveness of the cage, count and vault teams in servicing guests, as quickly and accurately as possible to ensure an enjoyable time for our guests. Required to provide training on all new and ongoing policy and procedures to ensure that team members are informed, trained, and have the tools to succeed as individuals and members of the overall team. Must be able to work effectively and maintain professional working relationships with ALL team members from ALL departments at ALL times. Position requires strong written and oral communication skills. Must be very detail oriented and possess the ability to multi-task Strong knowledge of all levels of the Cage, Vault and Count operations. Performs cage supervisor, cage cashier and count team duties when needed. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions in a high volume high paced atmosphere. Strong knowledge of gaming control regulations. This knowledge and these abilities typically require an associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Access to sensitive areas includes the cashier cage, vault, count room and files and therefore, the highest levels of integrity and honesty are essential for this function. Position requires extreme confidentiality. Ensures proper department uniform, appearance and grooming standards are followed. Must be able to work all shifts periodically. May be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Attends all company required training. Complies with all Racing and Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations and any other local, state, or federal guidelines.
