JOB SUMMARY
-Description of Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
The Cage Supervisor's primary responsibility is to provide excellent guest and employee relations. This individual must always portray a positive and friendly disposition to assure that all guests and employees are dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner. Must provide professional supervision and direction to the cage personnel. Responsible for the operation of all casino cage areas during a given shift. Responsible for the administration of Quapaw Casino's Internal Control System, Check Cashing policy as well as company and departmental policies and procedures; ensuring policies are strictly enforced. The Cage Supervisor is responsible for communicating pertinent information to all Main Bankers/Cashiers and Management on a timely basis. Must ensure that all department personnel are aware of any and all current and upcoming promotions or events at all times. Identifies, prioritizes, and resolves problems which occur during the assigned shift. This individual will promptly address workplace issues in accordance with established policies; it is imperative to demonstrate good judgment when resolving problems, making sound decisions, monitoring, documenting and counseling subordinates; must properly inform and communicate with the Cash Operations Manager. Other duties may include paying out electronic gaming vouchers to customers; redeeming coupons, gift certificates, and vouchers in accordance with established procedures. Responsible for cashing personal checks, and Cash Advances on credit cards according to policies and procedures. Must be able to identify and locate variances within the banks and the front line. Responsible for multiple transaction recording and SAR activity. Issuing Player Club cards to new and existing customers; relays Player Club card uses and benefits to each guest. Ensure accurate up-to-date information regarding general Casino information, as well as describes any and all current and upcoming promotions. Individual must maintain and monitor all funds entrusted to him/her on their assigned shift. Must be competent and confident with handling very large sums of money and making numerous payouts to customers; enter guest information into database - accuracy is essential. Must uphold a high degree of confidentiality at all times of all customer transactions or personnel issues. Will prepare all schedules to ensure shifts are adequately staffed, arranging for staff rotations and breaks, locating substitute employees as necessary, and covering shifts when needed. The Cage Supervisor will be responsible for ordering departmental supplies and be knowledgeable in placing purchase requisitions through Red Rock. Maintain a professional relationship with companies Quapaw Casino conducts its business with. Attend all necessary training and departmental meetings as required by the Cash Operations Manager. This individual is required to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies; all functions are to be performed within the guidelines of the Quapaw Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. Each employee is expected to act as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Quapaw Casino. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon employment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Minimum two years previous experience in gaming industry
- Previous experience cash handling and check cashing; basic math skills; data entry; read and interpret output from computer.
- Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Must possess excellent working knowledge of the casino gaming machines, including the individual games and how they are played.
- Must have the ability to work in close quarters and share limited space with other staff.
- Must possess manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine, personal computers, copier, etc.
- Must have a working knowledge or ability to possess a working knowledge of the Quapaw Casino Employee Handbook, gaming regulations, departmental internal controls, and proper reporting procedures and confidentiality.
- Being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Must be able to create departmental schedules and make accommodations for any time-off requests

- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the Casino for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, and employees in all situations.
