ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The EVS Attendant is responsible for the daily upkeep of the interior and exterior of the Casino & Resort facility while upholding Oaklawn's Core Values. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. Mixes chemicals and operates carpet shampooer and buffer. Moves furniture and cleans assigned area. Maintains and cleans machines after use. Provides excellent guest services, treating guests and team members with courtesy and consideration at all times. Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude. Maintains excellent working relationships with other departments and all applicable regulatory commissions and vendors as needed. May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs. Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous housekeeping experience a plus but not required High School grad or GED preferred but not required Guest service experience preferred. Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all EVS team members. Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
