Job Description
Position Overview The Beach Attendant is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience on the beach by providing professional, attentive, and friendly service. This role ensures the setup and cleanliness of the beach area, assists guests with lounge chairs, umbrellas, cabanas, and provides food & beverage support. The ideal candidate is guest-focused, energetic, and a team player with a passion for hospitality. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating, towels, and beach amenities. Set up, adjust, and store lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas according to service standards. Provide menu knowledge and assist in taking food & beverage orders when required. Deliver drinks and food to guests on the beach in a timely and professional manner. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests. Operations & Maintenance Ensure the beach area is always clean, safe, and well-presented. Monitor inventory of chairs, umbrellas, and towels; report shortages or damages. Assist with daily opening and closing procedures (setup/breakdown). Follow all safety guidelines related to sunbeds, umbrellas, and cabana equipment. Communicate with supervisors regarding guest feedback, issues, or special requests. Teamwork & Standards Work collaboratively with fellow attendants, servers, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Uphold company standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism at all times. Follow FOH/BOH communication procedures to ensure seamless guest experience. Requirements Previous hospitality, beach, or pool service experience preferred (training provided). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in outdoor environments (sun, heat, sand). Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs (umbrellas, lounge chairs). Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Fluent in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, etc.) a plus. Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage + service charge/tips. Staff meals provided.
