Job Description

VILLAGE OF LANSING, IL
Seasonal Venues - Contractual Services The Village seeks to contract with individuals or entities to provide the following services at its Fox Pointe, Ford Hangar, and Lansing Sports Complex venues.

Event Venue Maintenance
REPORTS TO
Director of Venue Operations or designated supervisor
RATE OF PAY
$17 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be well organized and able to prioritize tasks, as well as efficiently manage multiple areas of responsibility. Should also possess the ability to communicate with the public in a helpful, polite, and efficient manner.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
  • High school diploma/GED is required.
  • Previous public works or maintenance experience preferred
GENERAL FUNCTION
Services to be provided are to monitor and be responsible for general maintenance and cleanliness in connection with preparation, event-in- progress, and closing procedures for events held at Village of Lansing entertainment and event venues.
SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILIITES
  • Remove trash and debris from the venue grounds and buildings.
  • Monitor and inspect venue washrooms on an hourly basis.
  • Restock restroom supplies as needed.
  • Assist other venue team members with closing procedures.
  • Place barricades and other traffic control devices in assigned areas.
  • Set up and tear down tents, tables, and chairs at events.
  • Assist all concessionaires and vendors during events as directed.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times during events.
  • Perform miscellaneous assignments as directed by supervisors.
